Anthurium is a large genus of herbs belonging to the Araceae (Arum) family. It often grows as epiphytes on other plants, more rarely terrestrial. The leaves are often clustered and are variable in shape, like other aroids. Many species of Anthurium can be cultivated as houseplants, or outdoors in mild climates in shady spots. Anthurium obtusum has a pendant infrutescence of elongate clusters set with round or ovoid berries.
