Vishnu and Lakshmi, According to Hindu mythology, Sesha Naga or Ananta (an immense snake with several heads) coiled up to make a bed for Vishnu (the preserver of the Universe). He is lying on its body and Lakshmi, his consort, is sitting at his feet. A lotus flower grows from Vishnu's navel upon which Brahma, the creator of the universe, is seated.
