Beachy Head Lighthouse, East Sussex, UK. This lighthouse was built in 1902. It is 165 metres off the coast and is 43 metres tall. It was electrified in 1960 and automated in 1983. The chalk cliffs are constantly being eroded by the action of the sea. Here, the tide is out, exposing the rocks that threaten shipping. Two people at the base of lighthouse provide scale. Photographed in May 2013.
