The solar panels are arrays of photovoltaic cells which contain silicon, a semiconductor material that absorbs energy from sunlight and converts it into an electrical current. Solar power is a renewable and clean source of energy. These arrays are mounted on tracker bases that allow them to be turned to follow the Sun across the sky, maximising the power produced.
