Chemical weapons disposal control room. Controller monitoring the decommissioning of chemical weapons at the US Army's Tooele Chemical Agent Disposal Facility. The video monitor (at upper left) shows workers wearing DPE (Demilitarization Protective Ensemble) suits. The facility was built to destroy the US chemical weapons stockpile, in compliance with the Chemical Weapons Convention. The facility started work on August 22, 1996. When the destruction of the stockpile is complete (scheduled for 2007), the facility will be dismantled. Photographed in Utah, USA.
