Geodesic dome roof, a feature of contemporary architecture seen here on the Pioneer Theatre, USA. The geodesic dome was invented by Richard Buckminster Fuller, an American architect. The method uses interlocking triangular pieces and supports which spread the structural loads evenly across the whole dome.
