Personalised virtual twin grimacing. This virtual 3-D head can be used as an avatar to personalise computer displays, mobile telephones and computer game characters. The 3-D model is created from two views (profile and face-on) of a person's head. They are then combined using specialised software. The head is flexible, and can be manipulated to express emotions or simulate speech. This techno- logy was created by Digimask, of Surrey, England.
