Computerised clothing. Fashion model wears compu- terised smart clothes". This Electric Dress design has Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs), wires, batteries, switches and micro-controllers embroid- ered onto it. These computer components sense where the dress is being touched, and act so that the LEDs in these areas light up. This demon- strates how "smart clothes" can continuously respond to a wearer's actions and environment. Such clothes may soon have widespread practical applications. The dress, inspired by 17th century rococo designs, was a collaboration between researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, & international fashion designers."
