The Honda P-3 can walk in a line, open a door, turn a corner and climb a flight of stairs. It also has a vision system that allows it to navigate around furniture. The robot is 1.6 metres tall, weighs 130 kilograms and can walk at two kilometres per hour. Its designers hope to eventually produce a robot that can coexist and cooperate with human beings.
