This tank keeps these intermediate products warm and liquid until they are ready to be further refined or used in chemical manufacturing processes. Products that are obtained from crude oil include bitumen, fuel oil, lubricating oils, diesel, jet fuel, petrol, and petroleum gases. Oil refining is often closely integrated with chemical manufacturing, which uses a lot of oil products to make materials such as plastics.
