Beauty perception. Composite computer image of an enhanced face of 15 attractive Caucasian women. This image is 3rd of three testing what determines attractiveness in women. Here, 15 most attractive faces of UK women in a sample of 60 are combined, then enhanced by exaggerating what makes them different from an average female face (see P870/084). Panels of subjects preferred this image to both the average female face (P870/084) and the attractive face (P870/085). Scientists conclude that beautiful faces have non-average features. Beauty appears to have a biological explanation, which crosses cultural boundaries.
