It combines the functions of an automated refractor and a computerized lensometer. The optician can simultaneously compare objective and subjective measurements of refractive errors in the patient's eyes. The automated refractometer measures the refractive errors, and the patient can also look through lenses and be assessed by an optician with the use of eye charts and similar methods.
