MODEL RELEASED. Bone analysis. Forensic scientist using a light microscope to examine a fragment of bone. Bone from a dead body can be examined for evidence concerning the cause of death. This is often done in murder cases, when a knife or bullet can leave identifying marks on the bone. These marks can be used to link the murder weapon to the victim, and help convict the murderer.
