Eagle Beach is 'out the road', as locals would call it because there is only one main road from Juneau. It is an area that collects glacial silt from both Herbert and Eagle Glaciers. Often whales will swim by the beach and sea lions bark all night. Point Lena is in the center of the shot in the distance and is where a NOAA facility is located.
