Mendenhall Glacier (far right) shaped many mountains as it once crawled through the land creating fjords and nunatuks. One of the mountains that gets a terrific view of the glacier is Mt. McGinnis north of Juneau, Some winters enough snow accumulates so snowboards and skiers can ride down the back or front side.
