Several people gathered around the table a smiling peasant with a feathered hat, his young bride, an old woman wearing a veil on her head and a young beggar withhis arm stretched out. The young couple looks towards the viewers with friendly eyes, as to invite them to take part to the meal, the husband offering the wine carafe, the wife a plum. In the back, a violinist entertains the guests with his music.
