Ningaui, Ningaui. sp. attacks a beetle, Australia. A Ningaui (Ningaui. sp.) attacks a beetle in the desert sand dune country on the eastern edge of the Simpson Desert (Ethabuka Bush Heritage Reserve) - Southwest Queensland, Australia. Ningauis are tiny (10 gram) carnivorous marsupials widespread in sandy desert country but so small, nocturnal and furtive that they were not described until 1975. They differ from dunnarts and planigales by their bristly fur.
