Andreas Osiander (1498-1552), German Lutheran theologian, (17th century). Osiander was Professor of Theology at Konigsberg and was responsible for seeing through the press Nicolas Copernicus (1473-1543) De revolutionibus orbium coelestium (On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Spheres) and in 1543 was able to present the author with a copy on his deathbed .
