Vajdahunyad Castle was built between 1896 and 1908. It was designed by Ignac Alpar. A gothic gate leads to the courtyard. It was originally designed as a temporary structure for the 1896 Millenary Exhibition in the City Park of Budapest, Hungary. The building incorporated architectural styles found throughout Hungary from the Middle Ages to the Baroque Period. The structure was rebuilt in a permanent form in 1907.
