England, Staffordshire, Stokesay. St John the Baptist's church beside the gatehouse to Stokesay Castle, a fortified manor house built by Lawrence of Ludlow in the late 13th century. Both the gatehouse and Norman parish church were largely rebuilt in the 1600s.
