Usedom is in the Baltic Sea on the border between Germany and Poland. In 1938 the German military opened the Peenemunde Airfield and the Peenemunde Army Research Centre, which was the Luftwaffe test site. This photograph was taken circa 1938 from an altitude of around 400 metres.
