Sinosauropteryx prima dinosaur foraging for prey in a forest, artwork. This compsognathid dinosaur is around a metre long. Its fossils, found in China, date from the Cretaceous. The remains include preserved feather-like structures that suggest a close kinship with birds. More recent studies have indicates that the tail was striped in white and ginger-brown colours.
