Andean Condors. Artwork of an Andean condor (Vultur gryphus) pair flying over a village in the Amazon basin 1,700 years ago. This South American bird has a wing span that can reach over 3 metres and can weigh up to 15 kilograms. It is found along the Andes mountains and parts of the South American Pacific coast. It is a scavenger, feeding mainly on carrion.
