Iceland gull (Larus glaucoides), 19th century artwork. This seabird breeds on coasts and islands in the Arctic and winters in the North Atlantic, including around Iceland, and also in North America and Northern Europe. It is mainly a forager, feeding on scraps, molluscs and fish at or just below the surface of the water. Artwork printed in 1866.
