White-eyed moray eels (Gymnothorax thyrsoideus). Moray eels are large predatory fish that inhabit holes in reefs and rocky areas. They are mainly active at night, emerging from their holes to hunt other fish, crustaceans and cephalopods (such as octopus). This moray is found in tropical Indo-Pacific waters and can grow up to 65 centimetres in length. They often share their hole with other morays and cleaner shrimps. Photographed in the Lembeh Strait, North Sulawesi, Indonesia.
