Liang Bua cave exploration. Workers removing earth from the Liang Bua Cave, Flores island, Indonesia, during archaeological excavations. This cave is the site of a discovery in 2003 of a potentially new species of human, named Homo floresiensis. The earth will be washed and sieved to extract any bone fragments.
