England, West Dorset, Abbotsbury. This Dorset village is located on The Fleet and the Parish Church of St Nicholas dates from the 14th century built alongside the great Abbey Church, the foundations which are still partly visible in the churchyard. There is a stone effigy of one of the early abbots in the porch dressed in ecclesiastical robes with his pastoral staff in one hand and a book in the other. It dates to the late 12th century.
