Renaissance building facade on Charles Street (Karlova), with the spires and hexagonal dome belonging to the Holy Saviour (Kostel Sv Salvatora) in the background. The Church of the Holy Saviour is part of the huge Clementinum complex. Its facade dominates the eastern end of the Knights of the Cross Square (Krizovnicke Namesti). It was built in 1601 and has seven large statues of saints by Jan Bendl (1659) and is dramatically lit up at night. Note the Corinthian Columns on the building facade, a common architectural style used during the Renaissance period.
