Red panda (Ailurus fulgens). The red panda is found in mountainous forests in China, north- eastern India and Nepal. It feeds mainly on bamboo leaves, although it also eats small rodents, small birds and birds' eggs. It is an excellent climber and spends a lot of time in trees. This mammal is nocturnal and solitary, meeting with other red pandas only to mate. Photographed in China.
