Abell 194 galaxy cluster, optical image. Abell 194 is a cluster of around 100 galaxies that lies around 265 million light years from Earth in the constellation Cetus. The brightest members of the cluster are at upper right, including the close pair NGC 547 (upper) and NGC 545 (lower) near the top right corner, and the bright NGC 541 below and left of them. The small blue object just above and right of NGC 541 is called Minkowski's Object. It is a dwarf galaxy with a very high rate of star formation, thought to be due to it being hit by a jet of energetic hot gas from the nearby NGC 541.
