Orion and reflection. Optical image of the constellation Orion between trees in a forest. The reflections of its brightest stars are seen in a lake at lower centre. Orion is a bright, prominent constellation which straddles the celestial equator. In the reflected image, the orange super- giant star Betelgeuse (Alpha Orionis) is seen at lower left. It is the 10th brightest star in the sky. Orion's belt, three equally-bright stars in a line, is seen reflected above and to the right of Betelgeuse. The reflection of Rigel (Beta Orionis) is opposite Betelgeuse on the other side of the belt. It is the 7th brightest star in the sky.
