An abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), is a procedure where excess fat and skin is removed from the lower abdomen and the muscles of the abdominal walls are tightened. Here, the surgeons are using a cautery (blue), an instrument that burns through tissue, to seal off any sources of bleeding.
