Fossilised leaf imprints. These imprints, of leaves from a Viburnum sp. shrub, have been fossilised in the sedimentary rock travertine. They are from the Quaternary period, which spans from around 1.8 million years ago to the present day. This sample, measuring 450 millimetres across, was found in Ascoli Picenzo, Italy.
