Welwitschia plant (Welwitschia mirabilis) surrounded by a ring of stones. This plant is endemic to the Namib desert. It has only two leaves which become frayed and torn in the desert winds. It survives by absorbing moisture from cool air. Photographed in Namibia, Africa.
