Stinkhorn fungus (Phallus impudicus). Flies feeding on fungal spores. The tip of the fungus exudes a glutinous gleba (spore mass, green). This has a distinctive foul smell that mimics carrion, attracting flies to land on the cap. They feed on the gelatinous gleba, which contains spores, then fly away. The spores are passed out in their excrement, aiding their dispersal.
