High_speed footage of great reedmace, or bulrush, flowers releasing pollen. Great reedmace Typha latifolia is a reed found in wetland regions throughout much of the world. The flower spikes bear both male and female flowers. The plant relies on the wind to carry pollen from the male flowers to female flowers. It is one of the first plants to colonise a suitable area, and is considered an invasive plant in regions where it is not native. Filmed in Normandy, France.
