Matthiola maderensis is a flowering plant species native and endemic to the Madeira Islands. This image was taken in Madeira one afternoon in late February 2018 as the sky darkened as a storm approached. I used a wide angle to highlight this beautiful endemic flower in its natural environment so unique between sea and dry lawn.
